The Transistor

Before transistors were invented electronic valves were used in construction of computer. When valves were operating lot of heat was generated. Due to this heat valves began to burnout. A circuit builds by assembling several transistors was called a chip. By using these chips above problems were overcame. In this chip there are a large number of circuits built by using semiconductor technology.

History Of The Computer

 

1. Pre Mechanical era (before 1450)
2. Mechanical era (1450-1840)
3. Electromechanical era (1840-1940)
4. Electronic era (1940-present)

* The Abacus, first mathematical device used in China around in 3000 BC.

* Pascaline is the first mechanical calculator which was invented by Blaise Pascal in 1642. It could preform only addition and subtraction.

* German scientist Gottfried Wilhelm Von Liebnitz improved the pascaline, so it can be used to multiply and divide also. The concept of the punch card had been used for this.

* In 1880 Charlse Babbage (father of the computer) invented the Analytical Engine which could preform mathematical operations and also store data.Charlse presented the concept of Input, Process and Output that used in modern computers. Lady Ada Augesta Lovelace was his first programmer.

1. Presentations
 The content relevant to a particular topic are presented to the viewers by using a computer or any other media is called presentation.

2. Telecommunication
Handling office activities through a communication network from home.

3. Video Conferencing 
Video Conferencing is the process of two or more individuals carrying out conversation through a network that transmit audio and video data.

5. ICT Related To The Teaching-Leaning Process

i) Computer Aid Learning (Using a computer for teaching as an alternative to the traditional method )

* Data is a collection of non-formal, unorganized, meaningless items. 

* When data organized to be meaningful to a person it is called Information.

* Value of Information depends on relevance & time. At the moment, Information created or received, it has its greatest value.

* When time pass by, Information losses its value and revert in to data.

* This is called the Golden Rule Of Information.

* There are 4 main components in a Computer System
